The Dean of the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies at University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Kadhim Abdul-Wahid Adem, achieved a perfect score (100%) in the performance evaluation for the academic year 2024-2025, according to the university’s official evaluation results. This reflects the high level of administrative performance and the success of managing the institute’s affairs during the past period.
This evaluation came as a result of a series of achievements made by the institute during the current administration’s tenure, including developing infrastructure, equipping advanced scientific laboratories, and establishing modern classrooms. Additionally, the institute strengthened the connection between theoretical and practical aspects in the fields of laser and modern scientific technologies.
On the scientific front, the institute witnessed various activities, including organizing workshops, specialized lectures, and discussion sessions for postgraduate students’ research, as well as continuous training programs for academic and research staff. These efforts aimed to enhance scientific expertise and link them to the practical requirements of the job market.
The institute also focused on expanding academic and research cooperation with universities and scientific institutions, which contributed to raising the level of institutional performance and enhancing the institute’s scientific presence.
The evaluation results confirmed that the dean’s administrative performance was characterized by systematic planning, teamwork, and continuous support for the academic staff and employees. This created a stimulating educational and research environment that contributed to developing students’ abilities and preparing them to participate effectively in scientific research and the job market.
