Higher Diploma in Laser Medicine
This program aims to rehabilitate specialized medical staff capable of using lasers in a scientific manner, based on well-studied academic foundations, with careful use of it in order to protect both the doctor and patient.
This program accepts physicians who are exclusively specialized in ophthalmology, dermatology, general surgery, reconstructive surgery, ear, nose, throat, gynecology, and maxillofacial surgery. Admission to this program began in the academic year 2002/2003.
Masters
The goal of this program is to provide Iraqi universities and society with qualified teaching staff in laser sciences and its various applications in pure engineering and medical sciences.
This program accepts bachelor’s degree holders in the disciplines of life sciences, physics, electronic and communications engineering, mechanical engineering, production engineering, metallurgy, dentistry and veterinary medicine. Admission to this program began in the academic year 1997-1998.
PhD
To cover the significant shortage of senior teaching staff in the field of laser, a PhD program has been developed as of the 2003-2004 academic year. Master’s holders in electronic and communications engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, dentistry and life sciences are accepted into this program.
