The Institute relies on the latest curricula adopted in reputable international universities and always seeks to develop them. It should be noted here that all curricula are taught in English, which is also the language of theses and theses.
1- Medical and Biological Applications Branch The number of study programs in the branch is two: Master’s Program (Dentistry, Life Sciences) The goal of this program is to provide Iraqi universities and society with qualified teaching cadres in laser sciences and its various applications in dentistry and pure sciences. Bachelor’s degree holders in the disciplines of life sciences and dentistry are accepted in this program, admission to this program began in the academic year 1997-1998. Higher Diploma Program in Laser Medicine (Dermatological Surgery, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Urinary tract, ENT)
This program aims to qualify specialized medical cadres capable of using lasers in a scientific manner based on well-studied academic foundations, taking accuracy in its use in order to preserve the doctor and the patient alike. Admission to this program began in the academic year 2002-2003.
2- Engineering and Industrial Applications Branch The number of study programs in the branch is two: Master’s Program (Electronic and Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry) The goal of this program is to provide Iraqi universities and society with qualified teaching cadres in laser sciences and its various applications in pure, engineering and medical sciences. Bachelor’s degree holders in the disciplines of chemistry, physics, electronic engineering, communications, mechanical engineering, production and metallurgical engineering are accepted for this program, admission to this program began in the academic year 1997-1998. Doctoral Program (Electronic and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics) To cover the great shortage of senior teaching staff in the field of laser, a doctoral program has been developed as of the academic year 2003-2004 and accepts this program holders of master’s degree in electronic engineering, communications, mechanical engineering and physics.
