The Institute relies on the latest curricula adopted in reputable international universities and always seeks to develop them. It should be noted here that all curricula are taught in English, which is also the language of theses and theses.
1- Biological and Medical Applications Branch
The number of academic programs in this branch is two:
1. Master’s Program / Biological and Medical Laser Applications
_(Dentistry, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pathological Analyses)_
The objective of this program is to supply Iraqi universities and society with qualified teaching staff in laser sciences and its various applications in dentistry and pure sciences.
Admission to this program is open to holders of a Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, and Pathological Analyses. Admission to this program began in the academic year 1997-1998.
2. Higher Diploma Program / Biological and Medical Laser Applications
(Dermatology, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Urology Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, ENT, Maxillofacial Surgery, Life Sciences, Pathological Analyses and Biotechnology)_
This program aims to qualify specialized medical and biological staff capable of using lasers in a scientific manner based on well-studied academic foundations, ensuring precision in its use to safeguard both the physician and the patient.
Admission to this program is exclusively for specialist physicians. Admission to this program began in the academic year 2002-2003.
2- Engineering and Industrial Applications Branch
The number of academic programs in this branch is one:
Higher Diploma Program / Laser Applications in Science
_(Physics, Medical Physics, Applied Physics, Laser Physics, Chemistry, Applied Chemistry)_
The objective of this program is to supply Iraqi universities and society with qualified teaching staff in laser sciences and its various applications in pure sciences.
Admission to this program is open to holders of a Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Medical Physics, Applied Physics, Laser Physics, Chemistry, and Applied Chemistry. Admission to this program began in the academic year 2026-2027.
The degree obtained by a graduate of the Engineering and Industrial Applications branch is Laser Applications.
