Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
Since the first moment we took over, we have been keen to prepare a new and comprehensive vision for the Institute of Laser, a vision that reorganizes administrative work and elevates its quality, and pays special attention to developing our academic programs and updating the names of scientific degrees in line with the requirements of the labor market and the rapid progress in laser sciences and its applications.
We have set before our eyes the construction of an advanced academic system that enhances the identity and status of the institute among leading research centers.
Since the establishment of the Institute of Laser at University of Baghdad, the institute has carried an ambitious scientific mission focused on the latest developments in the field of laser and its advanced applications.
The fruitful cooperation between the faculty members, students, institute management, and the university has contributed to shaping a solid academic environment for master’s, doctoral, and diploma programs in laser applications.
The diversity of specialties and the nature of research projects have clearly reflected on the quality of theses and dissertations, which is the fruit of the efforts of our esteemed professors who have faced challenges and continued to strive to develop scientific research in our beloved country.
In recent years, the institute has made significant progress in the field of international research cooperation, through effective partnerships with research groups with high scientific reputation in universities from East and West, through research missions and scientific sabbaticals, in addition to equipping laboratories with modern and advanced devices that support the research journey.
The institute’s professors have also established a firm approach to solid scientific publishing in peer-reviewed international journals with high impact factors, believing that academic excellence can only be achieved through solid and innovative scientific research.
We aspire through these efforts to contribute effectively to finding innovative scientific solutions to the problems facing our country, and to keep pace with global developments in this vital specialty.
We ask God Almighty to grant everyone success in serving our country, Iraq, and to guide our steps towards more progress and giving.
