Under the auspices of the Dean of the Institute of Laser, Professor Dr. Kadhim A. Adem, the Media and Government Communication Unit at the institute launched an awareness campaign to reduce the spread of the scourge of drugs. This was achieved through the distribution of a series of educational posters within the institute’s corridors.
This initiative comes within the framework of the institute’s orientations in supporting awareness programs and enhancing societal awareness of the dangers of drugs and their negative impact on youth and academic progress. The campaign witnessed active participation from the Assistant Dean, Dr. Saif Aqeel, as well as a number of professors and employees, who emphasized the importance of enhancing joint efforts to protect students and staff from the risks of this phenomenon.
The posters included awareness and guidance messages highlighting the impact of drugs on health and society, with the aim of spreading a culture of awareness and responsibility within the university environment. This step comes within the framework of the institute’s commitment to creating a healthy educational environment and supporting national initiatives aimed at combating and preventing drugs.
