Prof. Dr. Asma Mohammed Saleh, a faculty member at the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies, participated in the scientific workshop entitled “Carbon Emissions Pollution”, organized by the Quality Assurance Unit at the College of Artificial Intelligence, with the participation of a select group of faculty members, researchers, and those interested in environmental affairs.
The workshop included discussions on the most prominent environmental challenges associated with rising levels of carbon emissions and their impacts on climate and public health, as well as a review of the latest technologies and scientific solutions to mitigate this phenomenon, particularly in light of the rapid developments in the fields of technology and artificial intelligence.
Prof. Dr. Asma Mohammed Saleh delivered a scientific intervention in which she explained the role of laser technologies and modern applications in monitoring pollutants, accurately measuring emission levels and their effects on human health, and how to avoid their health risks, along with proposed solutions—especially the concept of green cities. She emphasized the importance of integrating scientific research with advanced technology to achieve sustainable development goals.
This participation comes as part of enhancing scientific cooperation and exchanging expertise among academic institutions, contributing to supporting national efforts aimed at protecting the environment and achieving sustainability.
