The Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies at University of Baghdad receives the Institutional Accreditation Committee.
The Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies at University of Baghdad received the Institutional Accreditation Standards Committee from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, led by Prof. Dr. Wasan Muhammad Abdul-Redha, National Assessor for Institutional Accreditation, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Israa Ali Zaidan, Director of the Quality Assurance Division at College of Science/University of Baghdad, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuha Nihad Abdul-Wahab, and Eng. Dr. Huda Jamal from the Quality Assurance Division at the College of Science.
This visit is part of the Ministry’s efforts to enhance the quality of academic and administrative performance in Iraqi university institutions.
The Dean of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Kadhim A. Adem, and the Assistant Dean, Dr. Saif A. Muhammad, welcomed the committee. The Dean presented a brief overview of the Institute’s work, academic programs, scientific and administrative plans, and its role in supporting scientific research and serving the community.
The visit aimed to assess the level of implementation of quality and institutional accreditation requirements, familiarize themselves with the administrative work and its outputs, and evaluate the performance levels in scientific departments and various specialties.
The committee members also toured the Institute’s premises, clinics, and laboratories, and reviewed the available capabilities and infrastructure.
At the end of the visit, the committee expressed their admiration for the advanced level of organization and work, praising the efforts made to improve the educational and research process.
