Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Kadhum A. Adem, Dean of the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies, and as part of the scientific and cultural activities that the institute is keen to organize, the Department of Medical and Biological Applications held an awareness workshop titled: “Drug Abuse and Its Impact on Academic and Educational Performance.”
The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Noor A. Jaddah, a lecturer at the Laser Institute. During the workshop, she discussed the health and social risks of drug abuse, highlighting its negative impact on academic achievement and behavioral performance among students. She also discussed ways to prevent and protect the educational environment from this phenomenon.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the importance of prevention and education, highlight the dangers of this phenomenon on individuals and the academic community, and emphasize the role of educational institutions in confronting it.
At the end of the workshop, the Dean of the Institute presented an appreciation certificate to Asst. Prof. Noor A. Jaddah, in recognition of her scientific efforts and active contribution to the success of this workshop.
