Under the auspices of the Dean of the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Kadhim A. Adem, the Human Rights Unit at the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies organized a workshop entitled “Combating Bullying and Discrimination”, in the presence of a number of faculty members and staff of the Institute.
The workshop was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Farah Ghanem Saleh, faculty member at College of Education for Girls. She addressed the concepts of bullying and discrimination, their various forms, and the psychological and social effects resulting from them. She emphasized the importance of raising human awareness to reduce these phenomena and promote an environment based on mutual respect and equality for all.
The workshop witnessed active interaction from attendees through questions and contributions regarding ways to reduce bullying and discrimination in educational institutions.
At the end of the workshop, the Director presented a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer in recognition of her scientific and awareness-raising efforts.
