Under the auspices of the Dean of the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies at University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Kadhim A. Adem, the Continuing Education Unit at the Institute of Laser held a scientific workshop titled “Principles of Quantum Computing.” The workshop was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Jawad A. Hassan, a faculty member at the institute, in the presence of the Dean and a number of professors and staff.
The workshop covered the basics of quantum computing and how it works, as well as an overview of the key differences between classical computing and quantum computing. It also highlighted the most important future applications of this technology in scientific research, communications, and cybersecurity. The workshop saw active participation from attendees through questions and academic interventions that enriched the seminar’s topics.
The workshop emphasized the importance of keeping pace with modern scientific developments and raising awareness of advanced technologies that contribute to the development of academic and technological research. At the conclusion of the workshop, the Dean presented a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer in recognition of his scientific efforts in delivering the material and ensuring the success of the workshop.
