Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Kadhim A. Adem, Dean of the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies, and the supervision of Dr. Saif A. Mohammed, Assistant Dean, and with the participation of a number of faculty members and staff, the Institute of Laser launched a humanitarian initiative for social solidarity titled “Food Basket”, to support needy families in Baghdad.
This initiative comes within the framework of the institute’s social responsibility and its commitment to promoting values of solidarity and compassion among members of society, especially in the blessed month of Ramadhan. A number of food baskets containing essential items to meet the daily needs of the beneficiary families were prepared and distributed, aiming to alleviate the financial burden in light of the current economic circumstances.
The institute’s administration emphasized that these humanitarian initiatives embody the scientific institution’s mission to serve society alongside its academic mission, stressing the importance of continuing volunteer work that contributes to supporting vulnerable groups and enhancing community solidarity.
The beneficiary families expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation for this noble initiative, valuing the efforts made that had a clear positive impact in supporting and assisting them in facing daily life requirements.
