A ministerial committee visits the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies to oversee the establishment of new postgraduate programs.
The Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies at University of Baghdad received a ministerial committee specialized in establishing postgraduate programs, as part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to follow up and evaluate the establishment of new academic programs.
The visit aimed to study the possibility of establishing high diploma and master’s programs in the department of biological and medical applications, within the adopted contexts and standards.
The committee was received by the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Kadhim A. Adem, accompanied by the Assistant Dean, Dr. Saif A. Muhammad, and the Head of the Department of Biological and Medical Applications, Professor Dr. Fadil M. Lafta. They presented a detailed presentation about the scientific and administrative reality of the institute, and the level of academic and technical readiness to establish the proposed programs.
The visit included inspecting the infrastructure, specialized laboratories, research medical clinics, and scientific library, in addition to the academic staff and study plans. The committee expressed satisfaction with the level of organization and readiness, praising the efforts made, and confirming that this step is in line with the ministry’s directions to develop postgraduate studies and enhance scientific research in the fields of modern laser applications.
