Under the auspices of the Institute’s Dean Prof. Dr. Kadhum A. Adem, and as part of the scientific and cultural activities that the institute is keen to organize, the Department of Medical and Biological Applications held a scientific workshop titled “Job Level and Its Relationship to Drug Abuse.”
The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Mazen H. Rahima, a lecturer at the Institute. During the workshop, he discussed the relationship between the pressures of work environment and the increase in the cases of drug abuse, reviewing the medical, psychological, and social aspects of the phenomenon, supported by real-life examples and analytical data.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the importance of prevention and education and to highlight the dangers of this phenomenon on individuals and society. At the end of the workshop, the Dean presented an appreciation certificate to the lecturer, in recognition of his scientific efforts and valuable contribution to the workshop.
This workshop is part of the institute’s series of activities aimed at raising awareness and promoting scientific research on public health issues and societal behavior.
