Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Kadhum A. Adem, Dean of the Institute of Laser, and as part of the scientific and cultural activities that the institute is keen to organize, the Unit of Continuing Education held an awareness workshop titled: “Drugs: A Scourge on Society.”
The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Rawaa A. Faris, a lecturer at the Institute. During the workshop, she discussed the health and social risks of drug abuse, reviewed the types of drugs, and highlighted ways to limit their spread in society.
The workshop aimed to raise preventive and educational awareness, highlight the dangers of this phenomenon on individuals and society, and emphasize the importance of the role played by educational institutions, civil organizations, and society as a whole in combating it.
The Institute reaffirms its ongoing commitment to spreading societal awareness and supporting initiatives aimed at building a healthy and safe educational environment.
