Under the auspices of the Dean of the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies at University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Kadhim A. Adem,
the Women’s Affairs Unit at the Institute organized a tree-planting campaign targeting the planting of outdoor courtyards, with the participation of the Assistant Dean, Lecturer Dr. Saif A. Mohammed, and a number of professors and employees of the Institute.
This initiative comes as part of the Institute’s keenness to enhance environmental awareness, consolidate the culture of volunteer work, and contribute to improving the university environment by increasing green spaces, which contributes to providing a healthy and beautiful university atmosphere, and enhances the concepts of sustainability and environmental preservation.
For her part, the head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the Institute, Assistant Lecturer Noor Muthanna, stressed the importance of organizing such environmental campaigns, pointing to their role in spreading awareness of the importance of afforestation and preserving green spaces, and promoting the spirit of cooperation and community responsibility among the Institute’s members.
This campaign embodies the Institute’s commitment to supporting purposeful environmental initiatives and promoting a sustainable university environment.
