Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Kadhim A. Adem, Dean of the Institute of Laser, the Women’s Affairs Unit in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the Institute of Laser organized a scientific seminar entitled “Science Without Borders: Women’s Contribution to Physics”, attended by the dean of the Institute Prof. Dr. Kadhim A. Adem, the Asst. dean Lecturer. Dr. Saif A. Mohammed, along with a number of faculty members and staff.
The seminar included a scientific lecture delivered by Prof. Dr. Istabraq Talib Abdullah from University of Baghdad / College of Science / Department of Physics and Editor-in-Chief of the Iraqi Journal of Physics. She addressed the prominent role of women in advancing physical sciences and the contributions of female scientists in various fields of scientific research, in addition to the challenges women have faced throughout their academic journey and the importance of supporting female potential in academic and research institutions.
The seminar witnessed interaction from the attendees through scientific discussions and the exchange of views on the importance of empowering women in the scientific field and enhancing their presence in physics disciplines.
At the end of the seminar, the Director presented a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer in recognition of her academic efforts and valuable contribution.
