The Continuing Education Unit at the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies held a training workshop titled “First Aid”, under the auspices of the Dean of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Kadhim A. Adem, as part of the Institute’s commitment to promoting health awareness and developing the core skills of its staff.
The workshop featured the participation of Tamara Abdul Halim and Sarah Mansour Sadiq from the Iraqi Red Crescent Society, along with two faculty members from the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies, Assistant Lecturer Suhair Dakhil Naama and Assistant Lecturer Duha Sadiq.
The workshop covered several key topics in the field of first aid, including how to respond to emergency situations and provide rapid assistance to the injured, in addition to practical applications aimed at reinforcing essential concepts among participants.
The workshop activities were held in the Prof. Dr. Mazin Manuel Elias Hall, attended by a number of the Institute’s students and staff who showed notable engagement with the topics due to their importance in daily life.
This workshop is part of a series of scientific and educational activities through which the Institute seeks to support the practical and applied aspects for its staff, contributing to community service and enhancing public safety.
At the end of the workshop, Prof. Dr. Fadhil Lafta, Head of the Medical and Biological Branch, presented certificates of appreciation to all participants on behalf of the Dean of the Institute, in recognition of their efforts and active contribution to the success of the event.
