Under the auspices of the Dean of the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Kadhim A. Adem, the Continuing Education Unit at the Institute held a scientific workshop entitled “Physics in Medicine”, attended by a number of faculty members, researchers, and postgraduate students.
The workshop was delivered by Asst. Lecturer Noor Muthanna Jabbar, a faculty member at the Institute. She addressed the vital role of physics in developing modern medical applications, particularly in the fields of diagnosis and treatment using laser technologies and advanced physical devices. She also reviewed the latest scientific methods adopted in applying physical principles to serve the healthcare sector, emphasizing the importance of integration between basic sciences and medical sciences to achieve more accurate and safer therapeutic outcomes.
The workshop witnessed notable engagement from attendees through interventions and scientific discussions that enriched its themes and contributed to achieving its intended benefit.
At the end of the workshop, the Dean presented a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer in recognition of her scientific efforts and her effective contribution to the success of the Continuing Education Unit’s activities.
