The Dean of the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Kadhim A. Adem, held an expanded meeting with the staff of the Laser Journal, in the presence of the Associate Dean, Lecturer Dr. Saif A. Mohammed. This meeting was held as part of the Institute’s Deanship’s commitment to developing academic performance and elevating the scientific level of the journal.
During the meeting, discussions were held on the key measures to enhance the quality of published scientific research and to ensure adherence to the rigorous academic standards adopted by peer-reviewed journals. The meeting also addressed mechanisms to expedite the peer-review and publication processes in order to support researchers and broaden the base of scientific contributions.
The Dean emphasized the importance of redoubling efforts to improve the journal’s ranking and strengthen its presence in reputable scientific databases, stressing the need to work as one team and to adopt development plans that keep pace with rapid advancements in the field of scientific publishing.
For their part, the Editor-in-Chief and the Managing Editor of the journal reviewed the main challenges and presented development proposals, affirming their commitment to implementing the directives in a way that enhances the status of the Laser Journal both locally and internationally.
