The Dean of the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies participates in the meeting of the Postgraduate Studies Establishment Committee.

Prof. Dr. Kadhim A. Adem, Dean of the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies, participated in his capacity as a member of the committee in the meeting of the committee assigned with establishing postgraduate studies. The meeting was held on Monday, 13/4/2026, at the headquarters of Al-Kindy College of Medicine / University of Baghdad.

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Kareem Hassan Alwan, Dean of the Center for Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies, with the participation of several deans of the university’s colleges and institutes, namely:

– Prof. Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan, Dean of the College of Science  

– Prof. Dr. Mohammed Shihab Ahmed, Dean of Al-Kindy College of Medicine  

– Prof. Dr. Salwa Jaber Abdullah, Dean of the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology  

– Prof. Dr. Wadud Taher Mohammed, Dean of Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering  

– Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Mohammed Thijail, Dean of the Higher Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies  

The participation of the Dean of the Institute of Laser came as part of the committee’s work to discuss the items and proposals included in the minutes of the joint meeting between the University of Baghdad and the Scientific Research Authority, to prepare an integrated vision and action plan, in addition to submitting a scientific study for establishing a new institute for postgraduate studies affiliated with University of Baghdad in one of the Scientific Research Authority’s buildings.

The meeting included discussions on several key topics, during which views and proposals were exchanged to enhance scientific and research cooperation and to lay the necessary foundations for developing graduate programs and raising their standards in line with the requirements of the modern academic environment.
