The Rehabilitation and Employment Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, holds a workshop entitled: “Avoiding Academic Writing Errors in Research Prepared for Publication”
Under the auspices of the Dean of the Institute of Laser, Prof. Dr. Kadhim A. Adem, the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a workshop entitled: “Avoiding Academic Writing Errors in Research Prepared for Publication.” The event was attended by the Assistant Dean, Lecturer Dr. Saif A. Mohammed, along with a number of faculty members and staff.
The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Fadhil M. Lafta, Head of the Biological and Medical Applications Branch at the Institute.
The workshop aimed to highlight the most common errors in preparing scientific research intended for publication in peer-reviewed journals and to clarify the proper methods of sound academic writing, thereby contributing to raising the level of scientific output and enhancing the chances of research acceptance for publication. He presented a number of important guidelines related to structuring research, documenting sources, and avoiding linguistic and methodological errors.
The workshop witnessed notable engagement from the attendees, who affirmed the importance of continuing such scientific activities that support the development of researchers’ skills and the advancement of academic research quality.
