The Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies at University of Baghdad organized a tree planting campaign in the institute’s gardens, coinciding with National Tree Planting Day, with the active participation of a number of faculty members and staff. The campaign aimed to enhance environmental awareness and instill a culture of preserving green spaces within the university campus.
The campaign included planting a variety of trees and plants, with the goal of improving the university environment and adding aesthetic value to create a healthy and stimulating atmosphere for study and work. This initiative reflected the spirit of cooperation and volunteer work among the institute’s members.
The institute’s dean, Professor Dr. Kadhim A. Adem, emphasized that this campaign aligns with the University of Baghdad’s directives to support environmental initiatives and promote sustainability. He highlighted the importance of involving academic and administrative staff in such activities that contribute to serving the community.
He added that the institute is keen to organize quality events that contribute to spreading environmental awareness, affirming the continuation of efforts to support initiatives that promote a sustainable and healthy university environment.
