Prof. Dr. Kadhim Adem, Dean of the Institute of Laser, participated in a collaborative workshop with the College of Engineering and the American University of Lebanon, focusing on nuclear fusion and its future applications. The event aimed to promote international scientific cooperation and featured discussions on the technical challenges and latest advancements in nuclear fusion research.
During the workshop, expert Dr. Ghassan Antar presented the fundamentals of nuclear fusion, highlighting its potential to generate vast amounts of energy. The participants also explored the complexities of achieving fusion on Earth, including the need for extremely high temperatures and the role of devices like the Tokamak in plasma research.
This initiative underscores University of Baghdad’s commitment to fostering scientific collaboration and advancing research capabilities among students and faculty members.
