Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Kadhim A. Adem, Dean of the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies at University of Baghdad, the Continuing Education Unit in collaboration with the Training and Employment Unit at the Institute organized a scientific symposium entitled “Climate Change and Its Impact on Water Consumption in Iraq”. The symposium was attended by the Assistant Dean, Dr. Saif Aqeel, and a number of faculty members and employees. The lecture was delivered by Asst. Lecturer Ali S. Ahmed, a faculty member at the Institute, who discussed the impact of climate change on water resources in Iraq and the accompanying challenges in water management, agriculture, and daily use. The lecturer emphasized the need for national policies to adapt to climate change and optimize water consumption through modern technologies. At the end of the symposium, the Dean praised the scientific efforts made in preparing and organizing the event and presented a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer in recognition of his contribution to enriching knowledge on one of the important environmental issues facing Iraq.
