Faculty members from the Institute of Laser participate in the First International Conference on Laser Applications in Medicine and Surgery.
Faculty members from the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies at University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Asmaa M. Salih and Asst. Prof. Dr. Layla M. Hassan, participated in the First International Conference on Laser Applications in Medicine and Surgery, organized by the Iraqi Laser Society in cooperation with Qurtuba University, held at the Cultural Palace in Najaf. Dr. Layla M. Hassan presented two scientific papers:
1. Antibacterial effect of Rose Bengal activated by diode laser light (532nm) on S. aureus isolated from burn patients.
2. Laser biosensor single mode fiber (SMF-28) using to detect human ALT level liver enzyme concentration.
The conference also featured participation from a number of doctors and dentists who graduated from the Institute, contributing outstanding scientific research that highlighted the institute’s prominent scientific standing and its leading role in the field of medical laser applications locally and internationally.
