As part of the international study conducted by researchers from Stanford University on the top 100,000 scientists worldwide in terms of citation rates, H-index, and quality of scientific output, published annually by Elsevier, this year’s list included 277 scientists from the Republic of Iraq, ranking them among the top 2% of researchers globally. Prof. Dr. Kadhum Abdul-Wahid Adem, Dean of the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies at University of Baghdad, was among this global elite, in recognition of his distinguished role and solid research efforts that have contributed to enhancing the scientific status of the university and enriching the academic community with original research that has garnered widespread international attention. This achievement represents a qualitative addition to the journey of the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies and University of Baghdad, reflecting the stature of our esteemed scientists in global forums and enhancing Iraq’s scientific and research reputation among nations.
