Within the framework of scientific cooperation between higher education institutions, the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies / University of Baghdad received a delegation of professors from the Physics Department, College of Science, Al-Mustansiriyah University, as part of a scientific visit aimed at acquainting themselves with the latest devices and technologies available at the institute.
The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Kadhum A. Adem, Dean of the Institute, and Assistant Prof. Dr. Layla M. Hassan, Head of the Biological and Medical Applications Branch. The visit included a scientific tour of the research medical clinics, including the cosmetic clinic, ophthalmology clinic, and dental clinic, as well as the material processing laboratories.
Dr. Mardukh Sami, a specialist doctor, Ms. Manal, the clinic manager, and Dr. Anmar, an ophthalmologist, provided detailed explanations on the uses of laser in medicine, along with presentations of real clinical cases. Engineer Atheer Rashid also provided a comprehensive explanation of the laser devices used in the material processing laboratories.
The visiting professors showed great interest in the information presented and expressed their admiration for the modern technologies they witnessed, confirming that they benefited greatly from this valuable scientific experience.
