The Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies was visited by Prof. Dr. Sudad H. Hamid, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department at the university’s presidency, and Prof. Dr. Manal S. Ali, Director of the Studies and Planning Department. The visit aimed to monitor the progress of the final exams for postgraduate students (Master’s, Ph.D., and Higher Diploma) at the institute and ensure the implementation of examination instructions and adherence to approved regulations. Additionally, the visit sought to assess the organizational and service preparations provided to students in the examination halls. The visiting dignitaries were received by Prof. Dr. Kadhum A. Adem, Dean of the Institute, and Dr. Saif A. Mohammed, Assistant Dean, who accompanied them on a field tour within the institute, including the examination halls and supervisory committees. The visiting delegation was briefed on the mechanism of exam administration and the functioning of the examination committees. Discussions also focused on ways to enhance the academic environment and provide the best conditions for students, in line with the university’s aspirations to advance higher education and scientific research. The guests expressed their appreciation for the evident efforts made by the institute’s deanship and staff, praising the high level of discipline and organization. They emphasized the university presidency’s ongoing support for specialized centers and institutes and valued their role in building advanced scientific capacities. This visit is part of a series of periodic visits conducted by the university presidency to monitor academic performance in educational institutions and directly assess the examination process, contributing to the development of education and scientific research at University of Baghdad.
