In which the aim of the study was to find an accurate and rapid diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis, and to expedite the treatment of the disease in its early stages, by detecting the presence of (CDH-11) in the blood serum, by using ELISA and a 406 nm laser photo-sensor.
The main idea in this study included,
Collecting blood samples from people suspected of having rheumatoid arthritis and others with this disease, and conducting biological analyses on them using ELISA, to detect the presence of (CDH-11), which are membrane proteins that mediate cell adhesion, and play an important role in bone growth and protection.
The researcher also used a multi-core optical biosensor to detect changes in the level of Cadherin-11 by monitoring the intensity of the light change in the blood serum of the samples by diode laser wavelength (406 nm).
Among the most important recommendations of this study,
The measurements of the optical biosensor showed that (CDH-11) can be detected by the laser biosensor and its concentration determined which gives very fast diagnostic results, compared to traditional biological methods.
The researcher obtained a master’s degree with “excellence” due to her real efforts in preparing the thesis.
