Under the auspices of the respected Dean of the Institute of Laser for Graduate Studies, Professor Dr. Hussein Ali Jawad, the Medical and Biological Applications Branch at the Laser Institute for Postgraduate Studies held a workshop entitled
Smoking and addiction control
The workshop was managed by the Director of the Medical and Biological Applications Branch: Assistant Professor, Dr. Laila Mohamed Hassan
The lecture of the workshop was delivered by the Instructor, Muhammad Ghalib Razzouqi, who is specialized in dentistry. In his lecture, Dr. Muhammad spoke about the harms of smoking and the consequent health risks that harm public health and the health of the mouth and teeth, such as pigmentation, change in the smell of the mouth, withdrawal of the gums, the appearance of soft pockets, as well as the risks of cancers of the mouth and surrounding soft and hard tissues.
And holding seminars, workshops, intensive scientific courses, videos, electronic lectures, distance education, and advanced research to reduce the phenomenon of smoking and giving preventive ways to stop this phenomenon, in addition to activating the role of the state in general and the individual in particular, due to the best treatment services and their positive effects in serving patients and society.
