Under the endorsement of the Dean of the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Kadhum AbdulWahid Adem, the Department of Medical and Biological Applications , led by Dr. Leila Mohammed Hassan, held a workshop titled “Gum Diseases and Teeth Cleaning.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Mohammed Ghalib Rzouqi, a dentist and lecturer.
During the session, Dr. Rzouqi explained various gum diseases and the methods of deep cleaning using modern medical tools such as brushes and dental floss. He emphasized maintaining oral health by eliminating microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi that cause diseases. He also highlighted the importance of selecting the appropriate toothpaste based on age groups to ensure oral health and cleanliness while advising against the excessive and improper use of whitening products. Dr. Rzouqi asserted choosing the right products based on specific oral issues to maintain the overall health of teeth and gums.
The workshop was attended by the Dean of the Laser Institute, department heads, faculty members, administrative staff, and a group of students from the institute.
