Under the auspices of the Institute’s Dean, Prof. Dr. Kadhum A. Adem, the Unit of Continuing Education at the institute organized an awareness workshop entitled “Risks of Narcotics”.
The workshop was presented by Dr. Alaa Ali Majeed Al-Qaysi, a lecturer at College of Education for Women, University of Baghdad, in the presence of the Assistant Dean, Dr. Saif Aqeel, and a number of faculty members and staff of the institute.
The workshop discussed the most dangerous types of narcotics prevalent in society, their negative impact on public health and social fabric, as well as ways to prevent and raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and the role of educational institutions in addressing this phenomenon.
At the end of the workshop, the Assistant Dean, Dr. Saif Aqil, presented a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer on behalf of the Dean of the Institute, in appreciation of her contribution to promoting community awareness and enhancing the culture of prevention of narcotics among students and staff of the institute.
