The Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies participated in the national conference entitled “Economy. Knowledge. Entrepreneurial Universities. And Sustainable Economy”, which was held at University of Baghdad in Al-Hakim Hall, with the attendance of a select group of academics, researchers, and representatives of educational institutions.<\/span><\/h6>\n
<\/h6>\n
The Institute’s participation featured the presentation of a distinguished patent that represents a qualitative scientific achievement in the field of biological applications. Assistant Professor Dr. Layla Mohammed Hassan participated with her patent, which received the \u201cMakers of Hope\u201d award during the Career Day, and through which she represented the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.<\/span><\/h6>\n

The patent involved the design and fabrication of an innovative biosensor capable of distinguishing between pathogenic bacterial germs and normal bacteria in the human body, contributing to enhanced accuracy of medical diagnosis and reducing the unnecessary use of antibiotics.<\/span><\/h6>\n

This participation affirms the role of the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies in supporting applied scientific research and reinforcing the orientations of entrepreneurial universities toward the knowledge economy and the achievement of sustainable development goals.<\/span><\/h6>\n
