Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Kadhum A. Adem, Dean of the Institute of Laser at University of Baghdad, the Continuing Education Unit at the institute organized a workshop entitled “The Art of Administrative Correspondence”. The workshop was presented by Dr. Mohammed Jassim Al-Ameri, with the presence of the deputy Dean, Dr. Saif A. Mohammed, and was attended by a number of faculty members and staff.<\/span><\/h6>\n
<\/h6>\n
The workshop aimed to develop administrative skills and enhance the efficiency of staff in preparing and drafting official correspondence, as it represents a fundamental tool in institutional communication within universities. The workshop covered the basics of writing official correspondence in accordance with approved administrative contexts, with a focus on language accuracy, expression precision, and formulation correctness. It also presented examples of common errors in administrative correspondence and methods for addressing them.<\/span><\/h6>\n
<\/h6>\n
Dr. Al-Ameri emphasized the importance of adopting a proper administrative style in drafting official letters, which contributes to achieving workflow efficiency and raising the level of institutional performance. At the end of the workshop, Asst Dean Dr. Saif A. Mohammed presented a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer on behalf of the Dean, in appreciation of his efforts in enriching administrative knowledge and developing participants’ skills. He emphasized the institute’s commitment to continuing to hold such workshops due to their positive impact on enhancing the efficiency of academic and administrative work at the university.<\/span><\/h6>\n
