{"id":2236,"date":"2025-05-05T08:44:57","date_gmt":"2025-05-05T08:44:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.ilps.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=2236"},"modified":"2025-05-20T08:49:57","modified_gmt":"2025-05-20T08:49:57","slug":"the-institute-of-laser-for-postgraduate-studies-organizes-a-scientific-workshop-titled-the-relationship-between-sustainable-development-and-afforestation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.ilps.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=2236","title":{"rendered":"The Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies organizes a scientific workshop titled &#8220;The relationship between Sustainable Development and Afforestation.&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6 dir=\"auto\"><\/h6>\n<h6 dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Under the patronage of the Dean of the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies, Professor Dr. Kadhum Abdul-Wahid Adem, the institute, in cooperation with its Continuing Education Unit, organized a scientific workshop titled &#8220;The relationship between Sustainable Development and Afforestation.&#8221; The workshop was presented by Agricultural Engineer Zahraa Raad , who highlighted the close relationship between afforestation and achieving sustainable development goals, particularly in light of the environmental challenges facing Iraq, such as desertification, recurring dust storms, and declining vegetation cover.<\/span><\/h6>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<h6 dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">The workshop aimed to activate the role of universities and scientific research centers by organizing scientific seminars and awareness workshops to combat desertification.
