[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The University of Baghdad’s\u00a0 Institute of laser for Postgraduate Studies hosted a workshop focused on the art of scientific research writing, the selection of suitable journals for publishing research, and the submission process to these journals. Led by Prof. Rawaa Fares, who is the Head of the Engineering and Industrial Applications Branch at the institute, the workshop offered guidance on the essential steps to be taken for identifying the right scientific journal post-research completion. It also covered the online platforms where researchers can find journals that are more likely to accept their work for publication. Furthermore, the session provided insights into the correct procedures and scientific approaches necessary to ensure a journal’s credibility and acceptance, in line with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Higher Education and the University of Baghdad. This aimed at helping participants steer clear of predatory journals and avoid the pitfalls of fraudulent publications.<\/strong><\/p>\n
